2025 Mix-MATCH: A Mixed Arts Festival Applications are LIVE!
MATCH is excited to announce that applications for the 2025 Mix-MATCH Festival are now being accepted. Building on the success of the 2024 festival, the 2025 Mix-MATCH aims to become an annual celebration showcasing the rich tapestry of the Houston arts community. The festival will once again embrace a diverse array of artistic expressions, including film, dance, visual arts, music, and theater, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and interdisciplinary work.
Applications will be accepted from February 9th thru March 31st 2024.

Building on the triumph of the 2024 festival, the 2025 Mix-MATCH aims to become an annual celebration showcasing the rich tapestry of the Houston arts community. The festival will once again embrace a diverse array of artistic expressions, including film, dance, visual arts, music, and theater, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and interdisciplinary work.
In 2024, the festival featured nearly 30 groups and presented 30 performances across various disciplines. The 2025 edition will kick off with an inclusive application process, ultimately selecting the top 15 to 20 groups and individual artists chosen by a panel of peers through a blind rating system. Those chosen will receive stipends to support the development of their works, which will be premiered during the 2025 festival scheduled for January 18th.
The Mix-MATCH festival distinguishes itself by offering a unique platform for Houston's small and mid-sized arts community and artists, bringing their creativity to the forefront and allowing audiences to experience a wide spectrum of artistic expressions in a single setting. This inclusive approach ensures that all participating artists, regardless of size or discipline, have an equal opportunity to showcase their talents.
