Private Event Rates and Information

Set on Main Street, the Midtown Arts & Theater Center Houston, is a new destination for the arts in the up and coming Midtown area of Houston. Designed by Lake|Flato and Studio RED, this $25 Million project includes four performance spaces, a gallery, rehearsal studios, offices, and a mission to serve the small and mid-sized arts organizations who make up the majority of Houston’s thriving cultural community. These performance spaces include two flexible "black box" spaces and two more-traditional theaters with fixed seating, one of which is dedicated specifically to dance. One building contains the performance spaces, box office and small café, while the other is home to the rehearsal studios, gallery and offices. Both buildings flank an open air breezeway that bisects the facility from Main Street to a bus or valet drop off on Travis Street.

The entire site is one city block, 60,000 enclosed square feet, and is adjacent to the HCC/Ensemble light rail station.

All spaces are available for rent. Matchbox 2 and Matchbox 4 would work well for presentations whereas the Matchbox 1, Matchbox 3, and the Gallery are large open rooms that can be used in a variety of ways.
