Pop Up Kino presents Werner Herzog's Fitzcarraldo. Fitzcarraldo, an eccentric impresario by the name of Brian Sweeney Fitzcarraldo, dreams of building an opera house in a remote Peruvian city on the Amazon. In order to finance his dream, he sets out to profit from Peru's booming rubber business, hatching an elaborate plan to bring a steamship over the Andes mountains with the help of the indigenous population.
